used in the active directory world. we made a conscious decision in our DNS team
to allow these, because, well, without it, some active directory applications
wouldn't work. our unix guru did some research and basically, as wes mentioned,
strictly speaking it's not supported, but people have moved towards it. so as
long as your internal DNS servers support it, then you should be ok. i think the
danger is when you try to create dns entries with underscores that will hit the
outside world.</FONT></DIV>
