<DIV dir=ltr align=left><SPAN class=781320419-25012006><FONT face=Arial
color=#0000ff size=2>1. The voice PA compared to just about any other
voice platform seems way overpriced (unless they brought the price way
down). The last time I checked, the DSP's were also fixed (as in not
upgradeable in the event you have high DSP needs).</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr align=left><SPAN class=781320419-25012006><FONT face=Arial

<DIV dir=ltr align=left><SPAN class=781320419-25012006><FONT face=Arial
color=#0000ff size=2>2. The last time I put a 7200 in (about a year or so
ago), H.323 did some rather odd things at times (like not send out proper H.245
messages). I've also had in the past codec negotiation problems, horrible
audio problems, PA crashes, bus errors and more I can't remember. Now
admittedly, I've never done SIP with a 7200 so it *might* be
better.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr align=left><SPAN class=781320419-25012006><FONT face=Arial

<DIV dir=ltr align=left><SPAN class=781320419-25012006><FONT face=Arial
color=#0000ff size=2>3. The 7200 seems to lack any truly
useful working commands for monitoring your ports compared to even the
lowly VG200 (as in some of the commands are there, they just don't work
right). The AS series servers give you a million stats on your T1's and
T3's. Not to mention the AS servers are blazingly fast at call
processing.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr align=left><SPAN class=781320419-25012006><FONT face=Arial

<DIV dir=ltr align=left><SPAN class=781320419-25012006><FONT face=Arial
color=#0000ff size=2>Lastly, I've had many a discussion with Cisco's CSEs in the
voice arena (Consulting SE's), and I've yet to find one that recommends using a
7200 as a voice gateway - except as a last resort.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr align=left><SPAN class=781320419-25012006><FONT face=Arial

<DIV dir=ltr align=left><SPAN class=781320419-25012006><FONT face=Arial

a 7200 as a voice gateway for at least a year, possibly more. Sometimes
I've been surprised when something gets fixed. I've just learned to not
get my hopes up.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
