address...not only for srst.
that it why you should limit MoH server to one hop...because we are
practicaly cheating it with moh file from flash...
let me explain:
when you put someone on hold (ip phone or external caller trough voice
gateway), those devices expect to "hear" MOH on multicast address
(practically, they became memebers fo multicast group).
So, instead receiveing direct moh from MoH server (remmember, we
limited it on one hop), the devices will hear MOH file from router's
flash which will be played on 239.1.1.1 port 16384 - exactly where they
are listening... :)

believe me...it works fine for over 50 locations in my installation :)
Thanks goran but,
with this configuration, the MOH server is active only when srst is
active. I want that the MOH server is always active and so:
assign this IOS MOH to a media resource group list that only the
specific remote site uses.
Is this possible?
at the same time, you should configure one of the servers in cluster as

Hi all,
is there documentation on how to configure a IOS to act as MOH server
(2851 series router). i just don't want the remote site to stream to
the
local users music from the wan.

central site: cluster with 2 ccm 4.1(3)sr3a
remote sites: 3 each with 2851 series router and srst.

Thanks
