<tt>Hi all,<br>
i have implemented at a customer a WS-C3560G-48PS (POE) and several
7941G-GE phones.<br>
<br>
1.How much power (in Watts) do they need when they are with inline
power from the switch? In the specifications of the phone it says:</tt><span
class="content"><img src="cid:part1.07040600.00070706@dataways.gr"
border="0" height="2" width="19"><br>
<i><b>"48 VDC, 0.2 A—when using the in-line power over the network
cable"</b></i> (so does it need 48x0.2=<b>9.6watts</b> to work?) . <br>
I must use the command <i>"#power inline static max <milliwatts>"</i>
to restrict the phone from drawning the maximum power which is now
12.9Watts (as shown by show cdp neaighbous detail) and so it reduces
the maximum number of phones the 3560 can support (after i put 27
phones it could not give any more power)?<br>
2. For a 7971, i also plugged the power cube but it continues to drawn
15.050Watts!! AC power adaptor cannot cover it's needs for power and so
it would not have to drawn any power from the POE switch?<br>
3 Can i use a RPS that i have on site and configure it to give extra
power to the switch to support 48 phones of any kind?<br>
<br>
Thanks a lot<br>
