I've recently deployed CCM 4.2 for a customer and noticed some changes in the AAR feature that don't entirely make sense to me. I'm hoping someone can explain them to me.

For instance, you can now set the AAR Group at the device pool, device and line level I expected this to work similar to MOH resource selections where line settings over ride device and device pool settings only if they are set but it doesn't seem to work that way. In my testing if you leave the group set to <none> on the
line, AAR is not invoked for calls to that extension regardless of the
device pool or device setting. Is this working as designed?

In 4.1 if a line has call forward all set to voicemail and I call it from another location (and AAR is invoked) my call is rerouted to the external mask of the line and forwarded from there. With this version under the same scenario my call is rerouted directly to the voicemail external mask. This results in the call being delivered to Unity as a direct call and it won't be routed to the intended greeting. It looks like the rdnis information is supposed to be included in the direct call but if I'm calling from a site without a PRI that won't do me any good. Is there a way to revert back to the old functionality?

Any clarifications would be appreciated.

--
kms
