Seeing this issue where the regsvc.exe service spikes CPU while CDRInsert is trying to insert CMR file which is causing call processing delays, etc. Tried the manual workaround below but the field already exists in the database and table and field properties are correct.

Event Type: Error
Event

For anyone upgrading from 4.1 to 4.2(1) please be aware of
CSCse68968 CMR files not inserted into DB on upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2

Calldetailrecorddiagnostics did not get updated with a field it
requires during upgrade. Workaround:
• Stop insertCDR Service
• Through Enterprise manager or Query analyzer, execute on CDR
database
ALTER TABLE CallDetailRecordDiagnostic ADD varVQMetrics varchar(600)
DEFAULT NULL NULL
• In CDR file location, move CMR_xxxxxxx files in BAD folder to CMR
folder
• Start insertCDR Service

This is only resolved via this manual workaround or with CM 4.2(3)
which just posted to Cisco.com tonight.
