MGCP is almost moron proof (no offense) for simply installations. But H323 on

I'm told that MGCP has faster call setup. When one has to do down and
dirty call troubleshooting, I'm told that H.323 is an absolute winner.
Well perhaps, I can say from first hand experience. And with
H.323, gateway diagnostics are much better, when you get into a bind.
I've got a few tools at <A

are based upon the H.323 experience. And based upon a few tricks of the
peer-mask trade, I much prefer the H.323 route when configuring voice
