OK, but way back during the pre-launch, they said the Windows and Linux versions would merge, so will there be licensing and SIP on the Windows version?

Jonathan

On 1/31/07,

Back in February of 2006, I went to a CallManager 5 pre-launch training
session and they presented a CCM roadmap.

The roadmap said that CCM5.0 would come out in March, followed by 5.1 at the
end of the year (so far so good).

They also said that CCM4.1 users would be able to upgrade to 5.0 and that 4.2
users would be able to upgrade to 5.1 (as 5.1 would be based off of CCM4.2).

CCM5.1 comes out and there are no new features, just bug fixes.

This is irritating because there are two features my customers really want that
do not exist in CCM5.x. First is Call Forward Unregistered, this is vital so
that when remote sites go into SRST, they can still be called easily by users.
The second is the log in to hunt groups...

I have upgraded a few of them to 4.2 to accommodate these features, but they
really want to go to the appliance and cannot.

I have heard rumors that CCM6 (due at the end of 2007, supposedly) will
incorporate the CCM4.2 features. Seems like a long time to wait.
