font-family:Arial'>I wanted to find out if it’s possible to seize an FXO
port on a router to place a call. I want to place a call from a SIP phone on
the LAN, out of a Cellular Gateway connected to FXO ports on router. The router
only registers its POTS peers to the SIP Registrar. My POTS peers have a
destination-pattern of 0T, and this pattern is presented to the SIP Registrar
as *0. The SIP Phones don’t recognize *0 as a pattern; therefore the
pattern must be an exact telephone number. This limits my number selection;
users must have the option to dial any number they choose. I know PABXs have
the option to seize a line once a code has been entered, in other words
generate dial tone to place an external call. Is this an option on FXO
interfaces, if so, how is it configured.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
