I've done it on regular basis without issue with recent versions. If you have a good backup, it should take a hour or so or less if you have a NM-CUE and not an AIM-CUE. I've done this on AIM-CUEs countless times. You'll need FTP also and make sure you get all the files (it isn't just one file) and have the right license for what you bought.

----- Original Message ----
From: Jonathan Charles <jonvoip@gmail.com>
To: Brian <bms314@gmail.com>
Cc: cisco-voip <cisco-voip@puck.nether.net>
Sent: Monday, March 5, 2007 8:48:32 AM
Subject: Re: [cisco-voip] CUE

What are the issues related to restoring a backup to the CUE if it is a different version???

However, what you need to do is backup the CUE, blow it away with the new code and restore the data back into it...

At least that is what I am decyphering from the install/upgrade guide.
