CM OS is as secured as possible while still allowing all CM features to
function. Beyond that you can add CSA to counter attacks. The extra
paranoid can use the 'optionalsecuritysettings' included with the
windows OS for additional security measures that comply with DoD
requirements. Note those must be backed out before any CM patch or
upgrade is installed.

Beyond that use CM5.x/6.x where services are more fire walled and
specifically IP/TCP connectivity to the database is blocked by iptables
unless server appears under system->server in the configuration.

Otherwise, put your whole CM cluster behind a firewall and prevent
connectivity from outside the firewall to database ports on CM. This
is part of IPT Security Best Practices.
