Insert UDP fails to insert IP Phone Service if there are no parameters to all
Conditions:

'Insert UDP' in Bulk Administration Tool [BAT] doesn't insert IP Phone
Service
for all the Device Profiles if no parameter is defined on the Phone Service.

This also happens when the UDP template is not subscribed to the Phone
Service.

And this Insert UDP works fine in inserting the IP Phone Service to all DPs
if
you are doing one record at a time, it fails if you do it in a BULK.

Workaround:

For Device Profiles:
1. Using a template

- Add a dummy parameter to the EM service. Save it and click on Update
Subscriptions.
- Subscribe EM service on the UDP template. Ignore if already done.
- Upload the Insert file for specific details transaction.
- Submit a job with the uploaded file and the UDP template on which EM is
subscribed.

I had the same problem in
5.1.1b. I created dummy phones for all the EM users using BAT to get the
service configured correctly. I then used the 'Based on devices
controlled by users' in BAT to create device profiles for these users.

The downside to this is that there's no way to limit the scope of the 'Based on
devices controlled by users' job so it will create a device profile for any
existing phone that's associated with a user.

Hi,

Wondering if anyone is sharing my experience.

I“m bulking in about 500 udp profiles. I created a
UDP template that is subscribed to the Extension Mobility service.

When I start the bulk job everything seems fine. The result is 100% success.
But when looking at services for the profiles it does not get the EM login
service.

The weird thing is that going back to the UDP Template the login logout is gone
off.
I have verified that everything is saved e.t.c. But I see a pattern where
this service seems to "popp off" when running the bulk job.

Anyone been there ?

I have tried restarting everything, even upgraded to the latest 5.1(2b) 3.aug
patch.
But no luck. I didn“t have any of those issues last time when I bulked for
5.0.something CCM.

regards. Kristjan Edvardsson
