I would configure one 6509 as RP (and maybe another one as secondary for redundancy purposes) and all the leaf routers pointing to this router RP address (you can create a Loopback address). For the layer 2 switches (3560), it is enough with igmp snooping, which comes enabled by default…</SPAN></FONT></P>

I didnot pass by any document that explains these in a network where L3 switches is used for inter vlan routing. I read also about MVR but I dont know is it okay for my case or not.</SPAN></FONT></P></DIV>

The customer wants to deploy IPTV system (not cisco) and he told me that the system is using multicast for delivering TV stations to clients, I have read alot of documents regarding multiacst but I am not sure which configuration I should use to run this successfully.</SPAN></FONT></P>
<P><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN lang=EN-US style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">The customer network consists of two backbone 6509 switch connected to it 3560 switches as edge switches, if anyone has ideas about this and how to configure these swithces (backbone and edge) to pass multicast traffic.</SPAN></FONT></P>
