<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial color=#000000 size=2>The hostname you refer to here -- bit confusing from cisco -- because normally a hostname is an IP hostname which can be interchanged with an IP address but in case of call manager the name they sometimes call a hostname is actually more like a computer name and is somehow tied to the database etc which - causes trouble if changed. However -- the IP address / host name can be chaged and is one of the first things cisco recommend you change to get rid of reliance on DNS</FONT></DIV>
