1. to install a 5.1.3 sub you have to either:<br>
a) use 5.1.3 install media<br>
or<br>
b) use 5.1.1 install media but tell it you do need to apply a patch
during the upgrade and point it the to 5.1.3 upgrade patch. Note you
must patch during upgrade. it's one of the first few questions.<br>

For the strcpy error most likely CSCsk79536, Upgrade fails with strcpy
string critical error<br>
Symptom:<br>

An Upgrade during an install will incur a critical error when using
upgrade method DVD<br>
<br>
Conditions: <br>

Performing an Upgrade during Install<br>
<br>
Workaround:<br>
<br>
Running upgrade during install to a newer version, such as
6.0.1.1000-37, will circumvent this bug. If that's not possible then
you should do a fresh install directly of the desired version instead
of an upgrade during install.<br>

issue. The publisher was installed with
5.1.1, and upgraded to 5.1.2, and then to 5.1.3. I now need to install
the
subscriber, but the installation disks I have is 5.1.1. When installing
the subscriber
it wants to contact the publisher which is working 100%, and then it
wants to match
the versions. So what I do is to install 5.1.1, and when it asks me if
I would
like to install any SR, I say yes, and point it to the DVD, that I cut.
Now it
goes through the patching, and after it asked me the info for the Pub
to
contact, a few minutes later I get the following error message:<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
