We used the advanced settings tool to "expose the error greeting for subscribers on the SA". By doing this, you will see the "error" greeting in the drop down menu under standard, alternate, closed, etc.
The error greeting is what allows you to capture incorrect input and cycle itself back onto itself.
In the after greeting action, simply point it to itself and the user will hear the departmental greeting over again.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Unity recall after bad extension?
> Out of the box, if you dial an extension that doesn't exist from a Unity
> call handler, it'll say the extension doesn't exist and will go to the
> default Unity greeting ("Hello, Cisco Unity messaging system. From a
> touch-tone telephone..."). I need to change this on a per-DNIS basis so
> people calling one department go back to the call handler for that
> department; how would you suggest making this happen?
>
> Thanks in advance,
>
> -James
