<DIV> We have been evaluating this for a while now. As stated in another post you can eliminate PRI hardware though you will incur additional costs in regards to licencing for CUBE and additional CAR and bandwidth cost. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> I see benefits using a centralized model where all SIP trunks terminate to two hub locations providing DR and load balancing and using Call Manager to distribute calls to various branch locations. This would allow us - a bank - to potentially eliminate multiple copper PSTN connections to these sites, leverage a centralized trunk pool and add DR capability. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>That being said as a bank we are yet to see a proposal that makes financial sense. So far at the end of the day we have found in our environment that it is still more cost effective to utilize traditional PSTN facilities. However I am hopeful this will change at some point.</DIV>
