<p class=MsoNormal>We are looking at implementing IP Communicator on our LAN
and I am looking for suggestions regarding protecting our voice VLAN and all of
the ports<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>that need to be open in order for IP Communicator to work.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Since IP Communicator would like to be run on the LAN we do
not want to force the user’s to use the VPN.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>We are currently running CCM version 6.0 and will be
upgrading to 6.1 on Friday.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>Has anyone done this? What steps did you take in order
to keep your voice network secure? <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>The SRND talks about using a ASA device running between the Call
Manager and LAN. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal> What type of issues will this cause using a firewall
between the phones and the Call Managers?<o:p></o:p></p>
