If you use Fast Dials and/or Personal Address book in 4.1, access to the telephone screen interface is different. You access it from the Directories button now, and it will prompt for a username and password the first time you go to use it on the phone. This coupled with your end-user log info potentially getting reset could be a problem.

We are planning an upgrade from CUCM 4.1(3) to 6.1(2) for an enterprise of 2000+ phones. We want to keep "user-noticeable" differences to a minimum to begin with and roll out new features in a controlled manner, to the groups of people who would benefit most from them.

I know, for example that the CCMUser page has a different look with new features (CCMUser is only very lightly used by our users). Also, I know that the "Intercom History" option appears in the directory menu.

What else is different (for users) if we do an absolutely vanilla DMA install without adding anything?

--
Dave Wolgast
Livonia, NY
