have a very similar install running (same versions). I have it working on
7961Gs as well. Make sure that you have the “PhoneView”
application user set up on the Communications Manager and that the credentials
match between CUCM and Unity Connection. If these match, you also have to
make sure that the “PhoneView” user on CUCM has all the required
handsets set as <i>Controlled Devices</i>. Besides that, the only other
setup is on Unity Connection, where under each user you have to enable Phone
View (or set it up under the CoS). On a per-user basis, you set this up
under the user -> Edit -> Phone Menu. You should see an option to <i>Enable
Phone View</i>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

I had the same issue as you it was because I had not set the phones as
controlled devices under my “PhoneView” application user on

using UC version 2.0(1) with CallManager 6.1. Everything appears to work
up to the point where it states, "Searching......there was a problem
displaying messages on your phone, please contact your system
administrator". I am using a 7961G, which the documentation states
that this is a supported phone. Is there a special load needed? Any
help is appreciated.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
