Is the other end another IP phone or a PSTN number? We use 240-555-XXXX numbers for conference room phones and 301-888-XXXX numbers on regular phones. When you dial out of a phone that has 240-555-XXXX number caller id on the other end states it is displays a 301-888-XXXX number.
