I've never seen anything like that unless its a new feature starting in 6 (on 5.1 currently). Unless Attendant Console or ARC can do something like that?

Could make something similar work by having the receptionist place a new call to user C instead of a transfer, and if user C wants the call then place another new call from user B to user C and use the direct transfer softkey. really convoluted though.

I've not run into any receptionists here that could handle all those button presses or that would go along with it if they could. I get enough complaints some some of them about having to press a transfer key at all, or having to press it twice to complete the transfer.

Might be easier to just have person B send the caller directly to a voicemail box if C doesnt want to talk to them.

On Tue, Jul 8, 2008 at 10:37 PM, Joe Cisco <smetsysocsic@gmail.com> wrote:
sender hits transfer a 2nd time? EXAMPLE of what end users would like:
User A calls in via PRI, user B answers (user B is a receptionist).
User A asks for user C. User B hits TRNSFR and dials user C's
extension. User C answers, user B announces the call and user C says
they will accept the call. User B hits TRNSFR a 2nd time. User C would
like to then have the call RING in (and also see caller ID) and then
have the option to either answer, hit IDIVERT, or simply let it ring
to vmail.

Currently user C is connected and live with user A.

To me it's a waste but they said that is how their old phone system
works and what they would like on the new cisco phones.

Thanks in advance,
