I’m having the worst time trying to figure out a problem.

The issue is that a 7912 phone seems to be getting an IP address in the data
subnet. We’ve tried two configurations on the switchport level and neither
are working…

Interface fa0/1
switchport mode access
switchport voice vlan 2
srr-queue bandwidth share 10 10 60 20
priority-queue out
mls qos trust cos
auto qos voip trust
spanning-tree portfast

AND/OR

Interface fa0/1
Switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport voice vlan 2
srr-queue bandwidth share 10 10 60 20
priority-queue out
mls qos trust cos
auto qos voip trust
spanning-tree portfast

And yet the phone keeps receiving an IP address in the data subnet.

We’ve verified the following:
- helper-address on the router
- correct DHCP scope
