This issue stemmed from a publisher which had DNS suffix configured but
subscribers did not have DNS suffix configured. I believe resolution
was to just add 2 aliases in hosts for each server. one for just
hostname and one for FQDN based on publisher dns suffix.<br>

IP and just changing the name you are going to need some TAC
assistance. cluster manager does not properly clean up hosts, rhosts,
sqlhosts for all the references to the old name.<br>
