<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>A tidy way to do this is to create a CSS especially for your inbound gateway</div>
<div> </div>
<div>This allows you to perform translations on a per gateway or circuit basis.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Something like this for example</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Create new partition for inbound translations</div>
<div>- Inbound_GW_Translations_P</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Create a new CSS - Inbound_GW_CSS</div>
<div>Add the partitions</div>
<div>
<div>- Inbound_GW_Translations_P</div>
<div>- System_Phones_P (This would be the partition of all your internal DN's)</div></div>
<div> </div>
<div>Put your translation pattern in the Inbound_GW_Translations_P partition</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If it is a PRI then I'd also suggest making your pattern more specific</div>
<div>Typically look at a debug ISDN q931 output from your gateway to see what called number is presented to you. Then you can figure out what to put in the translation pattern</div>
<div> </div>
<div>This approach also allows you to apply restrictions on what calls can come in on that GW, i.e. dont add any external partitions to that CSS, and this helps lock it down for toll fraud.<br><br>Cheers,</div>

<div>Thank you for your response.. I've just created CSS, Partition and TP, after of create the TP with "!" all my calls cannot dial outside calls the CSS contain the Partition and the TP contain the exact partition and CSS. Although the other E1 belong to different CSS and Partitions, all calls were affected... I need transform the calling party... </div>

With H323 gateway translate the incoming calls will be easy a transaltion profile with translation rules and ready. But now how can I do the same task with MGCP into CCM? Specifically I need to translate the caller-ID some like this: Any Caller-ID that coming via a specific E1 from WS6508-E1 shoud be translate to 4540 extension.<br>
please suggestion will be very appreciated....<br> Thanks<br><br>-- <br>Omar E.P.T<br>-----------------<br></blockquote><br></span>Omar,<br><br>I'm unclear whether you want to change the Calling or the Called party number. Either way, the process should be fairly similar to the way we do it...<br>
<br>On the MGCP gateway within CCM, define a Calling Search Space (e.g. London_PSTN_In.)<br><br>This CSS should give you sight of a parition containing translation patterns (e.g. London_PSTN_In_Xlate)<br><br>Within this partition, define the relevant TP. If I understood you correctly, you might like to use a TP as "!" and Called Party Transform Mask as "4540".<br>
<br>I'm sure there are other ways of achieving the same behaviour, but this is how we do it.<br><br>Hope this helps<br><br>James.<br><br>_______________________________________________<br>cisco-voip mailing list<br><a href="mailto:cisco-voip@puck.nether.net" target="_blank">cisco-voip@puck.nether.net</a><br>
