I ran into this same issue a couple of months ago. I swore up and down to the customer that they could not order extra seats of 4.x as I had been through this with another customer earlier in the year, only to be proven wrong by Cisco.

Apparently enough large customers complained about the lack of ability to order additional 4.x seats that Cisco turned it back on (for additional seats only, not for new deployments). Look up part number IPCX-40ENH-SEAT10= (or whatever flavor you're running). As of five minutes ago they were still showing as orderable with a lead time of 21 days. I ordered this part number in August and had no problems getting it. When I asked for an ETA on when it would be turned back off my CSE couldn't get an answer.

I just had this same problem with a customer and Cisco. Customer wanted to buy 10 new agent licesnes for IPCC 4.x. Cisco says it is not shipping anymore and told me to upgrade which means I have to upgrade call manager and IPCC. The customer was not to happy with that.

If a product such as IPCC Express 3.5 is End of Sale but is still listed as supported until 9-23-2010, should you still be able to purchase additional agent seat licenses for it?

Does it make a difference if this deployment is covered under a Cisco service contract or not?
