Is the DevicePool / Region config in CallManager ok for the newly added xcoder?

Does "show sccp all" show that it has the right codecs advertised and the right number of sessions?

Have you tried doing "no sccp" then "sccp" on the new transcoder just to make it register again?

As long as you reset from the MRGL you should start using the new xcoder device if everything is configured properly. If it's in the same MRG as the other devices it will get round robined.

To figure out why it isn't working might require looking at some CallManager traces after double checking all the config.

I added an additional transcoding resource to an existing MRG (that already contains two XCoders). Following that, I reset all devices with MRGLs that used the MRG.

The two existing XCoder resources are properly round-robining calls, but the additional resource hasn't been touched.

I have verified the config on the IOS device and in CUCM (the xcoder is registered, and looks OK in IOS, config similar to the ones I have working).

What has to happen for an MRG to start using a new resource? Is there a service restart required?

--
Dave Wolgast
Livonia, NY
