<pre wrap="">No, There is no way to maintain a Call on a PRI on an MGCP Circuit because on MGCP the Gateway is dumbed down and is managed completely by the Call Agent (CCM). when the Link between these two is severed, The System no longer "knows" how to operate the circuit since Q.931 is backhauled to the ccm and so it comes down. At that same instant H.323 "fallback" takes over and brings the circuit up again. When communication is restored the same thing happens in reverse order. If you want to Preserve call integrity during a transition from and to srst you will need to switch to H.323.

Using MGCP with a PRI, can you maintain a call during failover? I thought I read that you could not.

<pre wrap=""><!---->If using H.323 you can preserve calls on SRST fallback with the config
script below:
voice service voip
h323
no h225 timeout keepalive
I hope this helps.

<pre wrap="">Hi all,
I tested call during registered to CCM and shutdown the WAN. After some
time, the router went into SRST and the call disconnected.
Also, during the SRST mode, when the WAN link came up, the call
disconnected.
How can I maintain PSTN call during CCM <--> SRST mode change?
