Hey Guys,

Ran into an issue with a new UM install of Unity5 and Exchange 2007 SP1.
The installation went fine, no issues no errors.

Began to run some tests and even though I could leave VM I couldnt retrieve them and they are not showing up in Outlook.
Quick browse of the EventViewer showed me the following 2 messages over and over.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: CiscoUnity_Doh
Event Category: Error
Event ID: 32017
Date: 1/22/2009
Description:
The Unity Message Repository still cannot communicate with the Partner Mail Server to deliver messages. Messages will continue to be held in the temporary store until the mail server is available. 240

I checked the permission using the latest wizard and got this error on the MsgStoreSvc account:

Receive As(Receive-As\) Right: ACCESS DENIED because a Deny ACE takes precendent over an exact Allow ACE.
The deny was inherited from the container above.
Deny inherited from group: INTRANET\Exchange Organization Administrators
Container: CN=Journal Database,CN=Journal Storage Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=MAIL1,CN=Servers,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=Hansberger Global Investors,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=intranet,DC=hansberger,DC=net
Send As(Send-As\) Right: ACCESS DENIED because a Deny ACE takes precendent over an exact Allow ACE.
The deny was inherited from the container above.
Deny inherited from group: INTRANET\Exchange Organization Administrators

Had the AD admin remove that account from the Exchange Org Admin group and leave it as a local account on the Exchange server, reran the perm wizard and now the error is gone.
But im still getting the same errors. I made sure it wasnt a Domain Admin account due to the Explicit deny rules.
I made sure all the services were running on the Unity server. I ran syscheck and everything comes back fine.
The partner Exchange server has more than enough disk space, and is reachable from Unity via name and IP. I have restarted Unity a few times after each change but have not had a chance to restart Exchange.

Im about to open up a Tac case but wanted to reach out to the list before I did that.

Thanks,

Joel P
