We have a Cisco 2811 router connected to a PRI for VOIP. We have chronic problems with the channels freezing up and getting the status “s_tsp_wait_release”. Has anyone found a fix for this?

Sending a reload command clears it, but it does come back. Cisco sent us a new router, new DSPs, suggested we upgrade the IOS, suggested we move the router. We’ve done them all, including running new cabling from our Demark to the router and the problem seems to be getting worse not better. For a while Cisco said it was the telco but the telco says it’s testing clean.

Cisco has just said this week that it might be a bug in the IOS. If it is, how many other people are experiencing this?
