<div>you are correct. Unity is part of your domain in order to get exchange working. since the other exchange box is not on your domain, you will not be able to use the same Unity box. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Your Work around is your best option at this point. add inboxes to your current exchange box for VM only.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>as for two unity boxes on one CM cluster I can't see it being an issue. you will just need to be VERY deliberate when setting up phones to give it the right VM profile.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>you are also correct in that Exchange 2k7 is only supported in Unity 5 and 7.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If you could get both Exchange boxes in the same domain (then add back the other domain as a secondary domain for email purposes) you could get both on your unity box if you upgrade to Unity 5 or 7.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>We have an exchange 2k3 and 2k7 box on one Unity box and we also have about 5 other School Districts using it too and they are hanging off my CM cluster and they also have UM. Works really slick.</div>

<div>YMMV</div>
