We have customers who want 36+ analog ports connected to
their key system or stations with a SIP trunk upstream. The only products that
I am aware which can do this are the ISR routers. 2821 could support 36 lines
and 3845 could support 48 lines. It's expensive but we have people who want it.
Is there any other hardware in the Cisco product portfolio that can do this for
less money than a 2821 or 3845? By the time you add up the PVDM2 modules, EVM
and EM-HDA modules, chassis, and WIC, a refurbished unit starts around $6,500.
