If anything faxes are more import, if they drop enough packets they can’t
be reproduced. Usually if you have audio problems you might be able
repeat what you said to the other party, but a fax is limited in this manner.

voice gateway at each remote office connecting to PSTN circuits? If so,
then consider XMedius just another RTP stream, mark packets accordingly and
include the anticipated fax server load in your call admission control
