Subject: [cisco-voip] Unity conneciton 7x gig card driver compatibility
with cisco 3750 switch

Hi Gang,
Has anyone seen below message on Cisco switch (3750) with unity connection 7x

I had previously installed Windows 2000 server on MCS-7845-H2 server.
During those 3 months I never seen below duplex mismatch error on the switch.

After 3 months I installed Unity connection 7.0.2. after installation, I am
getting below error on cisco switch. Switch configuraiton is still the same. I
verified it by re-installing Windows 2000 server and the error below goes away.

No matter what I do - i.e. enable failover or disable failover. error still
comes up.
I re-installed unity connection 702 and started getting the same error again.

Feb 21 10:53:51 EST: %CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH: duplex mismatch discovered on
GigabitEthernet1/0/11 (not half duplex), with unityconnection7 bond0 (half
duplex).

look specially bond0 which means when i enable fault-tolerance it
creates bond0 on ccm. that interface is being comes up in the error.
May be it's something to do with Bridging softare cisco uses on unity
connection box?

It sounds to me, that Unity connection 702's gig lan card driver is poorly
written.

i have seen similar issue with fastethernet but not with gigabit. in
fastethernet just configure both side to 100mbpsfull that fixes that
(technically that is not fixing the issue but hiding the issue).

Gigabit is pure 1000 baseT there is no such thing called 'half duplex' so why I
am getting this error with Unity connection?

anybody seen this?
