Yes I have run into this on UCM 5.1.3<br> <br>When a video enabled phone makes a call the bearer capability is "Unrestricted Digital", which makes sense as its trying to setup a video call.<br> <br>We have H323 gateways so on the voice port we added the bearer cap speech command this forces the ISDN to speech only which is what we want,<br>
<br>voice-port 0/3/1:15<br> cptone AU<br> bearer-cap Speech<br> <br>Why this happens or if there is a parameter that can be set to change this in UCM I don't know. For off net calls you would think there would be a way to stop this, even if it was as simple as locations and regions between the phone and the gateway(not the best solution though).<br>

<div> When video is enabled on a phone and a standard call is placed out an H323 gateway the bearer capability in the call setup message is set up as "Unrestricted Digital" as opposed to a "Speech" bearer capability. Calls to cell phones via Sprint are being rejected and calls to non cell phones complete without ring back. Calls to cell phones via Verizon complete but calls to non cell phone occasionally do not receive ring back. This only effects Cisco IP telephone users with video capability enabled that use H323 gateways not MGCP gateways.</div>
