Do you believe if I'm using a billing software which get information
from this CDR exports at CallManager 5.1(3), I can use the same billing
software if I upgrade to 7.X?
That is, the CDR file is the same for both versions?

(am I hijacking the thread? sorry...)

thanks

To add a bit more to the docs already linked. The quick
summary is:

Enable CDR
Configure a Billing Server (for FTP Location)
In either Enterprise Parameters of CCM Service Parameters (I forget
which) set the CDR file time to 1440 minutes (24 hours).
Each node in the cluster will write one file once every 24 hours to the
FTP billing server. The start and end time is determined entirely by
when you change the CDR File Time parameter, so make sure you change
the parameter after hours.
If you have any *nix box around you could likely setup a cron job to
download the CDRs every evening during or during off-peak hours.

This is probably a noobie question, but how do I
schedule
and automatically SFTP CDR records off our publisher at the end of the
day? I’m
working on a project that requires a CDR records and I don’t want to
manually do this every day…
