You can download software for a 2950 same way you can for a 6500.<br><br>It's honour system in that way. support contract you don't get any software, minor or major.<br>

With Essential (or whatever it's called for voice) you get minor, so everything
except the next integer release, i.e 7.x gets you all 7.x <br>

With UCSS you get major upgrades for as long as you have UCSS.<br>
<br>
