In 7.1.2 you can go to:<br><br>System > Enterprise Phone Configuration <br><br>and you'll see an option for "Peer Firmware Sharing".<br><br>You can even check a box that says "Override Common Settings".<br>
<br>This "Enterprise Phone Configuration" looks like a new feature for me, and should allow you to globally enable peer firmware sharing. You can also configure a bunch of other options globally from that page.<br>

To correct myself in this case there is no "default" option but the Common Phone Profile does allow you to bulk set some of the Product Specific configurations. Peer firmware sharing is included. This is in 7.1(2) as I don't have a 7.0 server to check.<br>

As a general rule on the phone if there is a "default" option for a parameter then there will be a corresponding global parameter. If there is no option for "default" then you can bet there is no global setting.<br>
