<br>Cisco is really pushing UCSS and CUWL so you never have to worry about things like this. Building a yearly cost associated with your phone system basically and being able to upgrade to whatever version you want.<br><br>
while i understand all the arguments pertaining to cost to support, Cisco has to understand that very few people run to install vX.0 of anything unless absolutely necessary, so by the time a vX.1 version is out, it's EOL is not far off. a phone system is not like a pc where upgrading is not that big of an issue. I can see the big difference between v4 and v5 but the idea to never have a vX.2 out is a bit of a drag. they're releasing major versions a lot faster and expecting people to climb on board. <br>

Of course, some of this included the VAR's work (from previous posts it does sound like you have to spend a lot of time manually re-entering lots of information). This was also to go from Full CCM and Unity to the Business Edition. So yes, I was horrified! Maybe I need to look for a different VAR, though he has always seemed to steer me right.<br>
