Im on 7.1.3 and i have 4 servers. Having an issue with ATA186 registering to 3 of them. device pool has sub1 sub2 sub3 sub4 and the ata device will on register to sub3. has anyone experince this or know what the problem could be?
I'm pretty sure that there's an issue with the firmware; the size of some sort of field has changed with 7.1.3, and that means that the older firmware can't fully register because it can't handle the larger field.
Anyway, ensure that you're running the latest firmware for the 186. Also, the subtle part of the issue is that if the ATA was running the old firmware it wouldn't update or something like that if it was trying to upgrade against 7.1, which is why we had to upgrade when our ATAs were still on CM 4.1(3).
Check the archives of this list; I think that's where I first got wind of the problem.
