That ERL is assigned a ELIN. the ELIN is then updated to your PS ALI DB provider. then when ever the phone is plugged into that switch port it uses the correct ELIN that has the correct location for the PSAP.</div>

I get that part. Just wasn't sure why you would want unique numbers displayed
for a trunk group assigned to a single location. Jason mentioned call back and
I think the carrier should alert the customer up front how they provision for
911 and if the customer wants unique DID's they can tell their provider. I
do know the carriers have to pay for every DID loaded in ALI, so cost also
plays a factor for the carriers.</p>

but here in Calgary (Canada), by default the provider will only send the BTN to

it only happens when we call 911. At one point it was working to where the 911

want the individual DIDs to go out so we configure that under External Phone
Number Mask on the line appearance on the individual phones.<br>
