Interesting, I've used freeftpd for all my upgrades and have had no issues with tars over 1GB... I'm looking at a 1.8GB DMA from about 3 months ago that went without a hitch. Or is the problem more for backups >1GB?<br>

FreeFTPD has a known issue with files > 1GB. I believe this is the reason the OP is bringing this new SFTP server up for testing.<br>

We have had success with freeftpd and have been using it for doing upgrades through the various versions of 6.x.<br>
