Customer didnt want to integrate the system with his existing AD and Exchange. So i installed AD and Exchange on Unity server. The next thing is customer has 800 users in the office but he purchased only 100 voicemail licenses.
But the call handler is only transfering the calls to unity voicemail users. so had to add the remaining users as trusted internet subscribers(came to know from some of the experts in this group) and i was able to transfer the calls to them. So i started ding call forwarding to voicemail. Interesting thing is i got a busy tone when i tried to forward the call. After a lot of reaserch i came to know that it was the partitions issue. checked the event log and just googled the error message. so got the info :-). But still i was getting the issue. so tried a lot restarted the unity and restarted the avcsmgr gateway still no go. So first thing i did a call forward to port number it worked, next call forwarding to huntpilot number, it worked. Next call forwarding to voicemail pilot, it worked. next call forwarding after configuring voicemail profile didnt worked. So i deleted that voice mail profile and reconfigured it. Then the calls were able to forward. Really surprised how it happened. The next thing call forwarding is working fine, but when the voicemail is placed the MWI is not working. So in the services found that the imap client was disabled enabled it and found that the MWI is not in a css of Ip phone. As some of you know in india we will have 2 extension (PSTN&VOIP), the voip and pstn clls should not be mixed. So did some con figuration for that and made the MWI worked atlast. But the MWI is not refreshing. For an instance i can place a voice mail and in the subsriber message option if i put refresh MWI status the MWI light will lit up. But after that if i delete that voicemail message the light is still litting up. SO i again i did the refresh, But still the the light is lit up. I dialed the MWI OFF number. The light went off. But after doing a refresh it again came back. so it a resynchronize in telephone integration manager (in unity tools depot-switch integration). It didnt worked. so again restarted the Unity. NO GO. so did a restart to AvnotifierMgr. Finally it worked.

A very lengthy story right. But i think most of the issues are covered. But only one thing i am unable to find ( actually tired of troubleshooting). the opening call handler is coming up and it asks to enter the desired extention and immediately it is transferring the call to operator. Is there any way to increase the time before the call can be transffered to the operator. So that the user will get some time to enter the extention he want to reach. Hope this is informative
