Thanks for the screen shot, very helpful.

I am not aware of any way to change Forward -> Fwd.

You may be able to affect what is displayed when a call is forwarded. 2
possibilities come to mind:
1. Disable redirecting number delivery on the gateway configuration page in
CM. CM may ignore the extra call information from the gateway.
2. On the line configuration page you can select what information to display in
case of a forward. modify those parameters.

Is there a way to make the phone display not show
“Forward” when an incoming call has been forwarded from somewhere
else? On the 7940, it just said “Fwd” which was tolerable, but on
the 7941 and 7942 it says the whole word “Forward” which uses up
way too much of the screen real estate. See what I mean: <a

Alternatively, if there is no phone setting for the display
of Forward, is there a way to block it at the gateway/CUCM? Most of my remote
sites cannot have their main numbers ported to our PRIs (due to being on
different COs in different municipalities), so they have a POTS number which
the telco call-forwards to a “secret” DID on my PRI at HQ. The
callee has no need to know about the call forwarding. When the call comes in
the PRI, it comes into the gateway with “Original Called Number i = 'A',
0x000F81” in the setup messages, which appears to be what triggers the
phone to display Forward. Gateway is MGCP.
