It doesn't really free space though. All logging is circular and the
log partition is monitored by LPM - log partition monitor. LPM deletes
files when file system usage approaches threshold. Even if too many
logs are configured under trace settings LPM will delete files to
maintain free space.<br>

If you're getting low disk space alerts then maybe need to look
elsewhere. There are a number of known issues for that relating to CAR
reports, locale files, and systems upgraded from 5.x<br>

<p class="MsoNormal">To free up space on the CUCM servers, is there a
way to delete the trace files *<b>WITHOUT</b>* downloading them? I
know you can download them and check the box to “Delete Collected Log
Files from Server”, but is there a way to have it simply delete old
trace files older than a specified date? I can do this via CLI in each
folder, but RTMT would be much quicker if there is a way to do this.<o:p></o:p></p>
