I am using transformation Patterns at the gateway. Opted not to use the device pool because we have different gw types at some locations and we can reuse some of the patterns and css. Probably not the same situation exactly but it seems more scalable to apply explicitly at the gateway, especially if you are using standard local route groups with consolidated route patterns.<div>

Yes, you can manipulate the calling party number based on route pattern or route list/group. This should probably be done at the route group level if you are using local route groups.<br>

The problem with changing the External Mask is it shows up at the top of the phone, this can present problems if the Line Text Label doesn't have the did somewhere (don't you hate walking up to phone and can't figure out what the number is?).<br>
