The CLI guide for 7.1(2), which is what you are supposed to use for 7.1(x) versions, states:

Snippet:

If you continue, this command causes a temporary loss of network connectivity.

Source:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/cli_ref/7_1_2/cli_ref_712.html#wp40005

I can tell you from experience, and not specifically which version, but I said "no" to continuing when I read the warning the system gives you, and it still bounced the network interface.

I have unity Connection 7.1.3

I need to change the domain name of the box. (NOT THE HOSTNAME)

I can't find any documentation on this for 7.1.3

According to
http://www.ciscopark.org/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/8x/upgrade/guide/8xcucrug070.pdf

to change it in 8.x it's just doing the following:
To Change the Domain Name of the Connection Server When DHCP Is Not Configured
On the Connection server, run the set network domain CLI command.

No reboot needed.

Is this the same on Unity Connection 7.1.3?

Thanks
