Hi,

I want to monitor outbound calls on a pool of gateways,
specifically i need to check
whether calls use a specific dial peer on the
outgoing call leg. To automate this process,
i need to collect this call
history on a centralized server and parse the logs.

Using syslog can be
the fastest to implement for me. I can get some call history details
from
syslog messages, but as far as i see, call legs and (dial) peer id's are
not
included.

Is it possible to get pid information as well from
syslog messages, or should i use SNMP
for that? (Using Call Manager CDR is
not possible, as the called number and the gateway is the same, only the
dial-peer changes in the router in a case of failover.)

Currently i have
a batch job that connects to routers and collect something like "sh
call
history voice brief | i pid:"

Do you have any
suggestions?

Thanks,
