that my customer is on such an old version of cucm 7.0.1 that to move them to the minimum version supported on the new server (7.1.3) I have to perform 2 upgrades. Since I can’t upgrade directly from 7.0.1 to 7.1.3/7.1.5 I have to go from 7.0.1 to 7.0.2 then
to 7.1.3/7.1.5 where the new server is now supported, however with the 2 stage upgrade, this will take the swapping partitions to restore to the original setup out of the equation, since once I upgrade to 7.0.2 on the box, then 7.1.5, the original 7.0.1 will
be over written by 7.0.2 install. Therefore no restore option via the partition method. Breaking the RAID and upgrading on the spare drive could be the other way. Risky though, as you can’t be 100% sure that the SATA RAID will come back online if you need
to sync back to the old version.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>

onto the server but the only thing you can do is take a backup and restore it onto the new hardware.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The process we were going to follow was to take a DRS backup for the current 7.01 system, restore to the new hardware with 7.01 installed, upgrade to 7.02 then to 7.1.5. However when I put the dvd of CUCM 7.0.1 into the new IBM MCS servers,
it will not detect the hardware or any devices on the system. Only the keyboard and video display works. This leaves me to believe that since the 7.0.1 DVD was made back in 2008, the new IBM hardware drivers are not loaded on the install disk, and therefore
the system can’t detect the drivers to allow the install to continue.<o:p></o:p></p>
