So use employeeNumber and just fill it with phone numbers. Problem solved, (Unless you actually use employeeNumber)

Sorry guys - maybe this has been lost in translation.

I want the CUCM UserID field to map to a different phone number field in AD - ie. not telephoneNumber. Though I think Mike has answered the question but I just hoped there'd be a "workaround"??
When you create the LDAP Directory object, there is a dropdown box next to Telephone Number, you can select telephoneNumber or ipPhone.
tell the customer to fill out the ipPhone field and then use that to synchronize.
Hi Guys,

I saw a question similar to this somewhere, I just can’t find it.

I have a customer who wants to import his LDAP accounts into CUCM7.1 Business Edition using their extension number as the UserID but can’t use the Telephone Number field of the AD account.

Is it possible to do this via another field?? Is this what LDAP filtering gives

you in V8??

Thanks,
Neil

Kind regards
